The property has been in the family for over 50 years. The neighbors, though not close in distance, are close in heart and full of southern hospitality. Temperatures in the area run from an average of mid 30’s in the winter to upper 80’s in the summer.

Norris Dam State Park is a 4,038-acre park, located on the Norris Resevoir, began in 1933 as the first Tennessee Valley Authority project. Miles of trails lead hikers through deeply forested valleys and ridges. A grist mill built in the 1790's and restored by TVA still grinds corn daily during the summer months. The Lenoir Museum Cultural Complex is a must-see for park visitors as well!

   Wood Lake Golf Course and Country Club is 18 holes with beautiful wide fairways and is about 24 miles from the property. After playing 18 holes you can relax in the clubhouse or dine in the restaurant and still be home soon afterwards. You can access this course three different ways, land, water, or by air. On the way back from the golf course you can stop off at the only local winery - Clinch Mountain Winery (ClinchMtnWinery@aol.com). The New Tazwell airport is 3000 feet long and has a grant to be extended to 6000 ft. and is only 25 miles away. And this being East Tennessee there are many local churches for you to choose from. For major shopping, dinning or entertainment, Knoxville is only an hour’s drive away with many fine restaurants, night spots, theaters, and malls. Several main Trauma hospitals are located here and specialize in a variety of medical issues.
